Unified Sunday School Service

Every quarter our Sunday school has a unified service where all the classes come together.  We sing together, pray together, do some type of game, craft or activity and then celebrate kids’ birthdays for the past 3 months.  For our first unified service for this year took place un 1/20/19. Our theme was Peace Starts With Me. The staff wrote and performed a shadow puppet play which showcased the idea of service, our original mind’s desire to help others and do good, and the joy we feel.  The kids were divided into mixed age groups and given an opportunity to share something they thought they could do that week to bring peace in their families and then did a simple craft.

We celebrated birthdays in December, January and February with a delicious cake made by our own Mrs. Kojima.  In her kids’ words, their “…mom makes the best cake!” Which is true! We ended the service with each kid picking a name from a basket, as everyone had written their name on a paper earlier.  This person was their prayer person for the week, to think about and pray for.
