Pastors’ Prayer Breakfast “What Went Wrong”

February 16, 2019

1st Baptist Church

Bridgeport, CT

We were blessed to have Apostle Glenda Phillips-Lee present True Family Values material on “What Went Wrong” in the Garden of Eden.

Dr. Edgar James Moss introduced the program with a scripture reading and testified that his life had been enriched by the teachings of Father Moon. He spoke eloquently of Father Moon’s commitment to God and how he was a great example to us all. He even serenaded us with a song.

Apostle Glenda then went through the powerpoint enthusiastically encouraging the ministers to look to the scripture for validation of Father Moon’s teaching. She recited bible verse after bible verse to substantiate the main points in the Fall of Man in the Divine Principle.

Of the eight ministers who attended, two were new. Each were asked to share their reflections. All were impressed with the presentation and confessed it gave them a lot to think about because it was not material they were familiar with. Points like the trees representing Adam and Eve, the fruit and serpent were symbolic and the Fall of Man was due to sexual misconduct. Several expressed the desire to do further study. One admitted it made a lot of sense and found it could be useful in his ministry. Each took the hand out of the material with them and listened intently to the presentation. We gave them some new wine. We will need to follow up to see what they do with it.

We are grateful to Mary and Antonio Battilocchi and Keiko Breland for helping with the food and set up.

We look forward to the next prayer breakfast in March.
