Report Blessing in Thai Community at St. Mark Episcopal, Yonkers, NY.

On March 30, 2019 from 7.30-8.00 pm.

It was one of the Thai communities, to build the relationship among different professional, most of them were retired. There were music, food and raffles. The organizers are doctor and nurses, I was invited to participate and I offered to give blessing to them. They wanted to be surprised so they did not ask the detail also the limited of time. In this event the Thai Consul- General of NY was present and he was interested due to some difficulties among Thai people in different organizations so he stayed until our ceremony was over and he expressed his support to our work, I gave father’s autobiography to him last year and he heard the negativities about our movement, we met several occasions. Also both organizers were positive, we plan to work together to bring peace and unity to our community.

There were 60-65 people who participated in the blessing but as couples, we blessed 21 couples, including the consul-general and a couple who is a pastor of one church, very positive.

I felt the victory from this event even though there were few people upset due to the time, at the end I went around to give the certificate to all couples, they were very positive.

I had time to make relationship with them earlier, I think in a long term we can do more blessing and educate them.
