Graduation Barbecue May 17, 2019

After a morning rain, everyone gathered at 6pm at Carstensen Hall front porch and front yard for an old-fashioned barbecue as we wished our recent graduates congratulations for a job well done.

CARP, YAM and Unification Ministry teamed up as usual, this year headed by Justson Daugherty and aided mightily by Iasmin Lumibao, Ricky de Sena, Kent Hoffman and Yungkeel Yamada. Andy Lim contributed a great cake that was enjoyed by everyone.

While the burgers and dogs were grilling, people hung out and played volleyball and badminton. Surprisingly, badminton seemed to be more popular than volleyball. Go figure!

We were happy to have the Nikolai Corley’s parents and Ricky and Simon de Sena’s parents and grandparents join us. All the hard work of the youth made the parents and grandparents proud.

All the graduates mentioned they were grateful to be part of the community and their experiences at the University. Simon said, “I may not have always been with you at the various events, but I could feel your support for me all the time.”

We wish all the graduates the best in their future efforts. We will miss them all!
