What does ‘The Blessing’ Mean to you?

The Blessing is not a prize.

It is the beginning; a commencement ceremony for your adult life. It is the point where you become responsible, eternally for the happiness, love and life of another person. It is not a regular marriage, it is a spiritual and physical joining of 2 lineages. The entire spiritual world of all our ancestors, going back hundreds of generations are focused on this one point in time. They are so excited to see what will develop from these relationships. It is an inflection point in the space-time continuum where 2 spiritual bodies combine into one, like 2 stars colliding in a galaxy.

Please join with us this coming week to explore the foundations of our faith and learn some tips for creating a happy blessed marriage.

His sermon this week will connect the heart of Jesus in loving His enemies to the heart needed to bring reconciliation and peace in nations formerly in conflict.

"The Story of America: What's the Holdup?"

After 400-years of twists and turns, highs and lows, there are momentous questions to be asked about U.S. history: What has happened? Where are we now? Where are we headed? How well are we doing? What are the underlying forces? Scholars and ideologues use a wide range of theories and frameworks to answer these questions and deliver their verdict. Rev. Moon taught us to understand America using a “providential” perspective.

UPF CT Peace Forum on Intergenerational Communication

UPF.png

All family traditions and cultures throughout the world value respect for elders, filial piety, and love for their children. These are universal values that transcend religious and races but these are many challenges to the fulfillment of these ideals.

As young people mature and exercise their independence and autonomy, they often wish to distinguish themselves from their elders and this can often lead to mis-understanding and conflict. Similarly, the relationships between educators and students mirror those between parents and children.

This conference will create the possibility of finding common ground in the way that parents, educators and youth can communicate with and trust each other's viewpoints, and each other.

Please join with us in exploring these issues in a conference that will give everyone the opportunity to contribute to this important dialogue.
