UPF CT Peace Forum on Intergenerational Communication

UPF.png

All family traditions and cultures throughout the world value respect for elders, filial piety, and love for their children. These are universal values that transcend religious and races but these are many challenges to the fulfillment of these ideals.

As young people mature and exercise their independence and autonomy, they often wish to distinguish themselves from their elders and this can often lead to mis-understanding and conflict. Similarly, the relationships between educators and students mirror those between parents and children.

This conference will create the possibility of finding common ground in the way that parents, educators and youth can communicate with and trust each other's viewpoints, and each other.

Please join with us in exploring these issues in a conference that will give everyone the opportunity to contribute to this important dialogue.
